GFS IT Support will install the required software when requested. If possible, platform credentials should be provided beforehand to speed up the installation process and reduce downtime. The GFS Channel Connector client application requires Windows Vista SP2 or later. The Connector is installed as a user application so the setup must be performed using the user account of the person who routinely uses the PC. The installation folder is in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\GFSMarketplaceConnectorClient and cannot be changed.
After installation, the program is found minimised in the system tray. To open, you can either double click on the icon, or right click and select “Show Window”.
The basic settings are the directories for integration with GFS Selector and the authentication id/secret.
The authentication id and secret must be specified in the “Settings” tab. Authentication credentials need to be set on first use. These credentials are provided by GFS and will be set while GFS Support are installing the software.
Any errors that result from uploading shipment confirmations are downloaded in the “Errors” folder and presented in the “Error Log” tab. IT Support will be able to assist in understanding the root cause of any error.
